Put your cursor where you want to write
Open the text field you want to use and start Quikk dictation. The default shortcut shown in Quikk’s demo is ⌥ Space; you can customize shortcuts in settings.

Speak your message
Say the thought or reply you want to capture. Grant microphone permission when prompted so Quikk can receive your voice.

Check the transcription
Review the resulting text in your writing workflow. Correct names, numbers, or any words that were transcribed differently before sending.

What can I dictate with Quikk? +
Use dictation to draft emails, capture notes, or write replies in your Mac workflow. Speech is transcribed into text that you can review and edit.
Is transcription processed on my Mac? +
No. Dictation uses cloud transcription providers. The audio you submit is sent for processing, so an internet connection is required.
Which permissions does dictation use? +
Microphone access is needed to capture your voice. Accessibility access supports Quikk’s text insertion workflow in your apps.
Can I rewrite text after dictating it? +
Yes. Once you have the transcript, you can select its text and use Quikk’s separate Quick Actions to revise the draft. Dictation and rewriting are distinct steps.
Can I try it on my Mac? +
Quikk requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. The Mac app includes a 7-day free trial, with no card required to start. Download the disk image and move Quikk to Applications.
