What to expect from Quick Actions.
What are Quikk’s AI writing tools? +
Quick Actions are text tools in Quikk for Mac. Select a passage and use an action to rewrite it, fix grammar, or translate it. Review the result before putting it back into your draft.
Do I need to copy my draft into a separate chat? +
Quick Actions work with selected text in your current Mac app, so a separate chat is not required for this workflow. Quikk uses Accessibility access to read selections and paste results; behavior can depend on how the app handles text selection.
Does the writing AI run locally on my Mac? +
No. AI writing actions use cloud providers and need an internet connection. The text you submit is sent for processing. Quikk’s floating interface is native to macOS, but the AI model runs in the cloud.
Should I review AI rewrites and translations? +
Yes. AI can change meaning or introduce errors. Check names, facts, tone, and specialist terms before using the output, especially for important messages.
Can I use Quikk for writing on iPhone? +
Quikk also has a dedicated AI Keyboard for iPhone with rewriting, grammar, translation, and other tools. The Mac Quick Actions described here and the iPhone keyboard have different interfaces and setup steps.
Which Macs can run Quikk, and is there a trial? +
