LET PEOPLE SHOW YOU

Better context starts with their screen.

Request a video when a written description leaves too much to interpretation.

See the bug as it happens

Invite someone to record the steps that cause an issue. A browser video reply can show the sequence and the result they are seeing.

Ask for a walkthrough

Collect feedback on a design or product flow. People can record a video or upload one they already have, depending on their browser and device.

Keep replies together

Give your request a collection link and receive the video replies in one place. Return to the collection to review what people sent.

ONE REQUEST, MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES

Open Collect Videos
  1. 01

    Create your collection

Open Collect Videos in the Quikk web panel, sign in, and create a collection for the feedback or replies you want to receive.

  2. 02

    Send the request link

Share the collection link and explain what you want people to show. Contributors do not need a Quikk account or the Mac app to respond.

  3. 03

    Receive the videos

Contributors choose a recording option or an existing video. Stopping a recording or selecting a valid file starts sending it to the collection owner; they should keep the page open until receipt is confirmed.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful details.

Before you get started.

Do contributors need a Quikk account? +

No. People responding through a collection link can record or upload a video from their browser without a Quikk account or app. The collection owner signs in to create and manage collections.

Can someone upload a video instead of recording? +

Yes. Contributors can choose an existing video. The page checks the file against the collection’s limits and explains if it cannot accept the upload.

Can every browser record the screen? +

Recording options depend on the browser, device, and permissions. If screen capture is unavailable, contributors can upload a video recorded on their device instead.

When is the video sent? +

Stopping a recording or choosing a valid video file starts the upload automatically. Contributors should keep the page open until it confirms that their video has been received.

Who receives a video reply? +

The video is sent to the collection owner. The contributor page is a way to respond to that collection, rather than a public video feed.
